Well, it has been quite some time since we have posted on here and since it was my turn I will take all of the blame. Rob has been on me for over a month now, wanting me to post something and I am just now doing it. I think that says A LOT about how busy life has been. Rob and I have been moving, planning a wedding, cheering on the Vols, having a garage sale, going to concerts and celebrating birthdays all while spending 8 hours a day working.
Since the last post Rob and I have both moved out of our apartments and I am living in our new house while he is driving back and forth, staying at his moms. We both LOVE the new house and after a month of living here it is really starting to look like a home.
Two weeks ago Rob and I met my parents in Seaside for our much anticipated “planning day.” We spent an entire day meeting with different vendors and planning the wedding piece by piece. Needless to say, it was a very exhausting but productive day. Now that we have a better vision for the wedding and feel as though things are starting to come together Rob and I cannot wait for December to get here!
Rob and I were crazy enough to decide to move and get married all during the course of football season, but I will proudly tell you that we have made it to all of the home games. The picture on this post is of Rob and I in the new Letterman’s room in Neyland Stadium. Rob’s step-father, Lloyd was a letterman and so we got to go check out the new “T” Club. It is on the field level and has a wall of windows that look directly onto the field. Although, our beloved Vols are not having the greatest season. Rob and I are still there at all of the games, however, Rob has been sporting his “I’ve had my Phil” shirt.
This past weekend we participated in our neighborhood garage sale. During the move, Rob and I found all kinds of stuff that we no longer needed and when we found out about the sale it was perfect timing. We were planning on giving everything to Goodwill, out of sheer laziness. I am so thankful now that we did the garage sale, we made a little over $300. Which was awesome!
We have been to three concerts this month! I was not sure about it when Rob first mentioned them because I knew we would be busy, but I am so glad that we went. The first concert was The Old 97’s which was really fun and you have to love watching the crowds at these things! This past week we saw Donavon Frankenreiter and and Ray LaMontagne at the Bijou Theater. Both were really good, however I must say that Ray was AMAZING! He has such a great voice and the concert was really different.
Yesterday was Rob’s birthday. We have been so busy that it really kind of snuck up on us. We went to dinner at Amerigo’s and then hung out with our friends Rob and Jordan and ate some birthday desserts...yum!
Although life has been a little crazy lately Rob and I feel so incredibly blessed. We knew that planning a wedding in Florida in four months would mean life would be busy for a while, but we are just so unbelievably thrilled about starting our lives together as husband and wife and are so thankful to have such wonderful friends and family supporting us.
