engaged!

In this, the introductory post of thebettisblog.com, I write as an engaged man. After 3 years, 7 months, & 2 days, Rachel and I are getting married. The proposal was Friday evening, on Signal Mountain - the location of our original DTR. Luckily, Rachel said yes...whew!

We are very excited and looking forward to a short engagement.
